Maksym Kozub Banking is one of the core areas of my translation and interpreting services. Listed here are some of my assignments in this area. My responsibilities included:

interpreting (both consecutive and chouchoutage) at negotiations and working meetings between consultants and managers of the respective banks;
translation (from English or Polish into Ukrainian or Russian) of the materials prepared by the consultants, as well as translation of Ukrainian banking regulations and internal regulations of the respective banks from Ukrainian or Russian into English;
interpreting during training sessions (of both business and technical nature), and translating training course materials (lending, credit rating, banking IT systems, etc.).

In some banks, I provided interpreting for top-level investment negotiations.
At a number of meetings, I had to interpet for CEOs and Board members of the respective banks.

European Banking Advisory Service, a TACIS-funded project operated by Lloyds TSB, was one of the first advisory efforts in the Ukrainian banking sector back in 1996. I worked as a translator and personal assistant to the Team Leader at Ukrinbank. My responsibilities there, in addition to interpreting and translation, included preparation of the project reports.

Aval Bank (now part of Raiffeisen Group) is the biggest bank in Ukraine. In 2002-2003, I worked there for two projects managed by Arthur Andersen Polska (now Andersen Business Consulting). One of those was about implementation of the new Western-made software (Bankmaster RS by Misys plc), and included my personal participation in software localization. The other project was about the development of the bank's new organizational model. I got involved with Aval projects through the agency called Triada; later, the agency lost their interest in the project and gave their consent for my direct involvement with the projects. I spent almost a year of being practically on staff there (i.e., working every day, although formally an independent contractor).

Bank Sector Reform in Ukraine is an advisory project run by ING Advisory. I provided interpreting at senior-level meetings between project executives (including Peter van der Krogt, Global Head of ING Advisory) and top managers of three big Ukrainian banks.

"I have come to know Mr. Kozub as a highly efficient and good professional, with an extensive bank technical vocabulary, whose work is always of high standards, and who is unfazed by difficult working conditions.

I highly recommend him to anyone who intends to use his services."

Nadra Bank (one of Top 10 Ukrainian banks) has been my permanent client since mid-2005. It is a pleasure to provide my services to this ambitious bank, although I cannot quote any details for non-disclosure reasons.

"Dear Maksym,

It is a great pleasure for me to thank you for our cooperation, which I hope will continue in the future.

Let me mention the most important thing. During a number of the most serious negotiations with foreign partners, you have always been not only an interpreter who demonstrated his brilliant language knowledge, but as a person who is always keen to thoroughly understand the matter and to help all the parties in understanding each other.

I am much impressed with your attitude towards what you are doing, your communication skills, and responsible approach."
